Position: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Pay Rate: £85 to £100 per day

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? Do you have experience working with primary age children, particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to work with children with SEMH needs in a newly established school in Yeovil. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support a child in their educational journey and make a real difference in their life.

Responsibilities:

- Provide one-on-one and group support to children with SEMH needs

- Assist in implementing tailored educational plans and strategies to support the children's learning and development

- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

- Promote the children's social and emotional well-being

- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the child's needs are met

Requirements:

- Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is highly desirable

- Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) support is advantageous

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach

- Ability to adapt to the individual needs and learning styles of the child
