We are seeking a proactive Administrator to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our provision, supporting both staff and students, and maintaining excellent communication with parents, external agencies, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the senior leadership team, teachers, and support staff.
- Manage reception duties, including welcoming visitors and handling phone calls/emails.
- Maintain accurate student records, attendance registers, and safeguarding documentation.
- Assist with timetabling, reports, and data entry.
- Liaise with parents, local authorities, and external agencies to support student needs.
- Handle confidential information in line with GDPR and safeguarding policies.
- Order resources and manage office supplies.
- Support the coordination of meetings, training sessions, and events.
Essential Requirements
- Previous administrative experience, ideally within an education or alternative provision setting.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality requirements.
Desirable
- Experience working in a school, PRU (Pupil Referral Unit), or alternative education setting.
- Knowledge of SIMS or other school-based software.
- First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
