Pallet Operative with FLT
Rotherham
Salary: 25,000
Shift Pattern: Early Days (Monday - Friday)
Monday - Thursday 06:00 - 14:30 and Friday 05:00 - 13:00 with an hour unpaid lunch break.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Off-loading of incoming pallets from customers
- Loading of scrap and repair pallets to pallet supplier
- Cleaning and checking pallets for production readiness
- Monitoring pallet stocks to ensure sufficient supply for production
- Liaising with the distribution manager on pallet stock levels
- General housekeeping
- Achieving departmental targets as required
- Performing other reasonable duties as requested
Knowledge/Skills:
- Experience of working with FLT (essential)
- Experience with a 4-pallet handler (desirable)
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment (preferably external)
- Motivated, professional, with a results-driven and customer-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Self-resilient and able to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Basic problem-solving ability

Qualifications/Training:
- Valid external forklift license
- Numerate and literate (GCSE or equivalent)
- PC literate (desirable)
