Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) - Primary School, Chesterfield

Location: Chesterfield
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Contract: Fixed-term until July 2025 (potential to extend)
Salary: Dependent on experience

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a Year 5 pupil with additional needs, including moderate learning difficulties.

• Supporting a Year 5 pupil in all aspects of the curriculum.
• Delivering boosters and interventions outside of the mainstream classroom under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
• Collaborating with teaching staff and SEND specialists to ensure tailored support.

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
• A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
