SEND Teaching Assistants

Independent SEND Primary School in Openshaw & in Droylsden

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Do you have the patience, empathy, and commitment to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? Our independent SEND primary school in Openshaw is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our SEND team!

Position: Teaching Assistant (SEND)
Location: Independent SEND Primary School, Openshaw and Droylsden site
Contract: Full-time / Part-time available
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEND in the classroom.
  • Assist with lesson delivery, helping to adapt resources and activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Support students in developing both academically and socially, encouraging independence and confidence.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other staff to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a genuine passion for working with children with SEND.
  • Are patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships with students.
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Previous experience in a SEND or teaching assistant role is preferred, but not essential.
