History Teacher - Hayes, London

A secondary school based in Hayes is looking for a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join their team. This role offers a long-term contract through to at least July 2025. While the position is full time, the school is open to part-time applicants. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Salary will match the Outer London MPS/UPS.

History Teacher - Hayes, London

Deliver engaging and comprehensive history lessons, guiding students through key historical periods, events, and themes to develop their understanding and critical thinking skills.

Foster students' appreciation for history, encouraging them to draw connections between past events and contemporary issues, and inspiring a lifelong interest in learning.

Create a dynamic classroom environment that promotes inquiry-based learning and allows students to explore history through discussions, debates, and independent research.

Provide students with the tools to analyse historical sources critically and communicate their findings effectively.

Contribute to the school's ethos by ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all students feel valued and are motivated to reach their full potential.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A relevant degree in History or a related field
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students to love history
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Approachable, supportive, and enthusiastic
