Manual Machinist

Are you a skilled and experienced manual machinist looking for a new challenge?

We are seeking a talented and motivated manual machinist to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with manual lathes and milling machines, demonstrating accuracy and precision in their work.

Responsibilities:

• Manufacturing components from prints using manual lathes and milling machines.
• Modifying existing components for gearbox test machines.
• Setting up and operating a Colchester Lathe (12" chuck), including accurate setup in a four-jaw chuck for modification tasks.
• Using a Bridgeport Milling Machine to produce hole patterns with precise location using a modern digital display.
• Meeting fine geometric tolerance requirements on most components.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Adhering to all safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working with manual lathes and milling machines.
• Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with setting up and operating Colchester Lathes and Bridgeport Milling Machines.
• Experience with using digital displays for hole location on milling machines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
