Job Title: Assistant Headteacher: Quality of Education
Salary: Up to £53,000.00 per annum
Location: New Barn School, Newbury, Berkshire
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Headteacher - Quality of Education to join our close-knit team at New Barn School, part of Acorn Education
The Assistant Headteacher will undertake the normal responsibilities of a teacher and be a member of the senior leadership team. They will work independently, alongside SLT to define, articulate, and implement the school's vision and values.
The Assistant Headteacher will work in close partnership with the Senior Leadership Team, SENCo, parents, Governors and external agencies to improve, maintain and monitor high standards of the quality of education across the school. All members of the Senior Leadership Team are expected to be flexible to ensure the most effective organisation and delivery of learning. Other specific duties and responsibilities as part of the Senior Leadership Team will be allocated once a candidate has been appointed.

New Barn School offers a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum to boys and girls, aged 6 - 19 years who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health complexities.
New Barn School takes full advantage of its beautiful settings and fosters a love for using the outdoor curriculum including forest school, farm experiences and horse riding. The School is within a commutable distance of Swindon, Oxford, Andover, Basingstoke and Reading and other surrounding towns and villages.
