Title: IT Hardware Administrator
Salary: £25,480 per annum
Location: Bolton
ours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 9-5
Contract: Permanent
The role will be based at the head office (Bolton) carrying out administration support to the Hardware Engineering Team. Primarily focused on supporting the Hardware Engineers in ensuring that Stock is booked in, responsible for Stock Control, performing initial triage on equipment to establish if repairable or not. The role will also assist with the provision of new starters, leavers and movers and make sure that equipment, permission and provisions are created, provided and/or removed inline with agreed SLA's.
Key Tasks:
- Responsible for administration support to the hardware team
- Liaising with the business and service providers to manage new starter, requirements, and stock control. This would include creation of accounts and ensuring provision of appropriate equipment such as laptops and phones.
- Managing requests and handling escalations and priorities accordingly.
- Support working with 3rd parties to arrange for warranty repairs and/or to accommodate process improvements.
- Managing the booking in process for returned equipment
- Liaising with staff to arrange collections and return of kit to the head office.
- Managing the documentation and audit material for the starter, leaver mover process.
- Identification and ordering of new parts and equipment.
- The updating of organisational Asset Management system.
- Providing consistent and accurate updates to the business.
- Supporting in the continual improvement on the starter, leaver mover process.
- Responsible for identifying, recommending, and amending inefficient work tasks and processes to improve efficiency.
- Liaising with the business until completion regarding new starter, leavers and mover's making sure that all requirements are known and business has confirmed complete.
In addition;
- Attends meetings and team events as required.
- Participates in an annual performance review program.
- Works in accord with all the policies and procedures of the OFG Group , especially those relating to Child Protection and Safeguarding, observing at all times the strict rules of confidentiality appropriate to the role.
- To be familiar with all Health and Safety issues relating to the use of IT equipment, and bring to the attention of your Line Manager any Health and Safety concerns
- To be aware of, and work within the Company's Health and Safety policies, relating to the working environment and building security, reporting any issues promptly to immediate Line Manager
- Work within the provisions of the Data Protection Act, observing strict confidentiality in relation to all aspects of work undertaken.

- Demonstrate willingness to learn and develop personal skills and capability through on-going training as provided internally by the company or externally subject to Company approval and as agreed with your Line Manager.

- Knowledge of TopDesk ticket system (Desirable)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word (essential)

- Understanding of Active Directory (essential)
- Microsoft 365 experience (preferred)
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 1 years' of proven experience in a similar role within a technical support desk or MSP, supporting internal and/or external customers (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft products (essential)
- Strong customer service skills (essential)
- A broad technical knowledge of PC's/peripherals and their architecture (Preferred)
- Service desk experience working tickets (preferred)
- Working knowledge of current software packages and operating system (preferred)
- Managing multiple senior stakeholders both internally and externally
- Must have strong attention to detail, the ability to follow processes and procedures and take ownership of tasks or issues
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability/willingness to learn, prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work on own initiative, tackle tasks proactively, address and resolve problems and able to follow a methodical approach to service issues
- Ability to work well with challenging customers and under pressure
The post holder will be expected to travel to site locations in the UK when required. The post holder will be expected to do training and keep professional qualifications up to date and relevant to the post.
