JOB TITLE: Options Assistant Director - South

SALARY: up to £95,000 per annum plus car allowance

LOCATION: Remote (travel across the region required)

HOURS: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours

JOB PURPOSE:

As an Options Assistant Director you will lead and develop our portfolio of schools in the South, playing a pivotal role in our journey to consistently outstanding quality of service.

You will drive all elements of school performance overseeing budgets and growth with a focus on quality of service. By leading our Headteachers you will deliver school business plans covering pupil progress and achievement, pupil occupancy, health and safety, regulatory compliance, cost management, growth, staff engagement and development and profit growth.

You will:

  • Champion the best possible outcomes for children in our schools
  • Provide strong leadership based on a clear vision
  • Delivery of school performance: pupil outcomes, quality standards, financial targets
  • Monitor performance of the schools using the full range of quantitative and qualitative information
  • Undertake cross divisional projects, as agreed with the Managing Director
  • Ensure best practice is transferred between school settings
  • Develop internal and external relationships to further the improvement of the schools and group
  • Provide support, training and development for all staff within your portfolio
  • Act as a School Governor (and Chair of Governors) within the portfolio as required

Essential

  • An experienced educational professional (with relevant professional qualifications) who has experience of leading school/s through Ofsted inspections
  • Experience of leading a portfolio of SEMH or ASC special schools
  • Management of budgets
  • Management of diverse staff group

We are looking for a strong leader with clarity of vision and an experienced educational professional with a track record of leading schools and improving outcomes. You will have led SEMH or ASC schools and balanced significant budgets.

You must be able to manage a diverse group of employees by challenging, coaching and mentoring. It is essential you can influence at all levels of the organisation and share your extensive knowledge and understanding of SEN education and care. Multi-site leadership not essential, but preferred.
