Learning Support Assistant (SEN) - Mainstream Secondary School, Lewisham

Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and social-emotional needs.
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and adapting classroom activities to suit different learning styles.
- Support students in developing confidence, social skills, and independence within a mainstream setting.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure the best possible support for students.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in a school, tutoring, mentoring, or care setting).
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students with additional needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to adapt to different situations and respond to students' individual needs.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
