Maintenance Engineer

Mason James are partnered with an industry leading UK food manufactturing business based in the Middlesborough area. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join the team on a full time, Permanent basis.

You will take an active part in maintaining, developing and improving Plant machinery and services. This will involve a variety of duties ranging from promptly repairing breakdowns to installing new equipment. PLC and HMI controls are integral to production equipment performing efficiently.

Working Hours & Salary:

Hours: 12 hour shift, 4 on 4 off shift pattern (rotating days and nights)

Salary: £ 43,000 per annum + overtime paid at basic & Night Shift Allowance.

Key Accountabilities:

• To swiftly respond to machine breakdowns effectively prioritising maintenance support in conjunction with line leader/supervisor.
• To carry out maintenance and repairs to all equipment as required.
• Daily duties will include:
• Electronics, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Conveyors (wire & belt).
• Installations, fault-finding, Inspections, Servicing.
• Planned preventative maintenance.
• Maintenance, installations and repair of electrical / mechanical equipment

Skills and Qualifications:

• A proven track record and strong engineering background.
• 2+ years experience as a Engineer within manufacturing/maintenance.
• Good knowledge of fault finding and preventative maintenance.
• The ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative.
