Description

GlobalData s energy analysis team helps our clients around the globe to assess investment opportunities across the oil and gas and power sectors. Your role will centre around evaluating the economic factors affecting the energy transition. This will include tracking fiscal regime changes in the oil and gas sector to maintain our library of discounted cash flow models, modelling potential project economics for new energy segments and assessing macro level trends in energy economics. Building up expertise in the economics of the energy sector, you will also author topical insight pieces and provide analysis directly to clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Write reports on key issues around energy transition and energy economics

- Support wider modelling and economic analysis requirements within the energy sector

- Track oil and gas fiscal regime changes and maintain library of models

- Evaluate project economics and drivers in new energy sectors

- Answer client requests and support sales team in product demonstration

- Participate in adhoc consulting engagements and projects as required by the business

What We Look For

- 12 years of experience in the energy sector

- Degree in economics, finance, politics or a related discipline

- Experience building discounted cash flow models.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to express complex ideas in a concise manner.

- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Effective oral communication skills to support client interactions.
