About the role

NFU Mutual is?one of the leading general insurance and financial services companies in the UK. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join our Head Office team.

As a Senior Internal Auditor at NFU Mutual, you'll be operating within the remit of the Internal Audit Charter. Where appropriate, you'll lead assigned audits and reviews to produce high quality reports of findings, which include actions to bring about improvements to both processes and controls to mitigate risk.

This role offers real variety, and you will have the opportunity to work across all business departments, where you could be supporting finance one week and strategy the next. If you don't want to be ring fenced this could be the role for you!

About you

With excellent interpersonal and communication skills you're ready for a role where you won't be ring-fenced. To join our team, it's essential that you have:

• Experience of assessing risk & controls as well as designing audit programmes to test the operational and business environment.
• A proven ability to perform a wide range of audit work inclusive of knowledge and experience of audits relating to Insurance / Financial Services.
• Knowledge of relevant international standards and quality benchmarks governing internal audit practice, including internal audit code of ethics.
• Experience in writing good quality audit reports suitable for the audience.
• An ability to think independently and provide constructive challenge on individual audit engagements.
• An enquiring and analytical mind combined with experience of using analytical audit techniques

It's also essential that you're fully qualified, ideally a Chartered Internal Auditor, Chartered Accountant or equivalent.
