About the role

As the Azure Technical Lead, you will be at the forefront of our cloud transformation journey, driving the adoption and optimization of Azure services across the organization. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our Azure infrastructure is robust, scalable, and aligned with our business objectives. You will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to our teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. What you'll be doing

Strong experience with Microsoft Azure implementation and migration projects, including; Azure Networking, Azure Virtual Machines and Scale Sets, Azure storage, Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery
Service Design: Collaborating with business owners and technical teams to define and implement comprehensive operational requirements and service designs
A strong understanding of Azure Network Architecture, managing Firewalls, Security Groups, Local Network Gateways, Network interfaces, Public IP addresses and Virtual Networks
Experience in scripting: Automating infrastructure deployments in the Cloud with Terraform and Azure Pipelines is essential
Understanding of Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework, Azure Landing Zones and Well Architected Framework
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
Security Implementation: Implementing and maintaining robust security controls within the cloud
Protecting sensitive data and ensuring compliance with data governance standards
Financial efficiency: Analysing system performance and providing reports to identify cost-saving opportunities
Practical experience with process flows and automation tools (Microsoft PowerApps, PowerShell)
Expert level experience of on-premise Windows Server Platforms, products, and associated technologies
Qualified to Microsoft AZ-104 (minimum, or equivalent)

Experience working in Financial Services
Qualified to Microsoft AZ-305 (or equivalent)
Qualified to ITIL 4 Foundation

Interview process

The first stage will incorporate competency-based questions including an assessment of your technical knowledge and transferable skills. For the second stage, there will be a presentation to prepare and deliver.

Working Schedule

This is a permanent role, Monday - Friday 37.5 hours a week. We offer hybrid working whereby you'll be required in the office two days per month as a minimum.

Salary

£55,000 - £75,000 (dependant on experience)
