The starting salary is £51,196, which includes allowances totalling £2,841.
The salary is broken down as £48,355 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £52,730 Plus, a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Based near Birmingham, close to transport connections, our CSC supports national police services 24/7. As the Centre expands thanks to substantial investment, our team is growing too. Join us, and you'll be part of a highly skilled technical team working on incidents, problems and changes at our ITIL-aligned CSC.
Supporting a national live server and infrastructure, you'll tackle both operational and project-related tasks, expertly managing your workload. You'll also get involved in building new systems and services with the latest storage and virtualisation technologies.
As the centre operates 24/7, you'll be part of a team of engineers covering 7am to 7pm weekdays (on call, approximately 1 week in 4). Due to the nature of the systems, the role is office-based with occasional options for working from home. Furthermore, the shift structure for this role allows for working compressed hours over a 4-day week.
Join us and you could be at the forefront of national security and public safety, working to help keep all our communities safe. To make the grade, you'll need experience in a server, storage or infrastructure engineer role in a technically diverse environment. With this background, you'll know about: Microsoft technologies including Server, Active Directory, SCCM and Security. Windows Server and Desktop operating systems. VMware vSphere, vSAN or equivalent virtualised environments. Server and Storage hardware and infrastructure.
You'll also be organised and able to prioritise and achieve results in a busy service operations environment.
A full UK driving licence is essential as you'll be expected to travel to other UK locations from time to time.

Vetting
This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e level before taking up the post; with a willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) once in post, if required.
Additionally, this material is of particular sensitivity to the UK and its distribution must be restricted to UK nationals. In approved circumstances dual nationals (of which one element is British) may also be granted access. However, in the event that potential conflicts of interest cannot be managed the post holder will not be able to see the intelligence material and will not be able to perform their duties. For the purpose of safeguarding national security and in line with Cabinet Office Policy, supported by Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), applicants who do not hold or acquire Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e OR Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and meet the nationality requirements cannot be offered the post.
