This role reports to the Front End Lead

Overview of job

We are looking for an experienced React developer with a passion for high quality code. You will be joining our Commercial Technology engineering team, being a part of product decisions, from inception through to release.

The role is focused on a new proposition which will enable customers to buy advertising online through a self-service platform. You will get to build this customer-facing platform that integrates with existing technologies to provide an end to end solution from planning to payment for products from all channels (Radio, DAX, Outdoor).

• Delivered several large features on the self-service platform.
• Followed good development practice and taken part in code reviews.
• Taken time to understand the business context and future roadmap.

Responsibilities of the role

• Developing features for the business.
• Developing reusable component libraries that power our applications.
• Be part of code reviews and other practices in the team to help maintain a high technical standard.
• Mentor more junior team members.

What you will need

The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:

• Self-starting, problem solving attitude.
• Demonstrable experience of good coding patterns and building responsive and accessible UIs.
• Demonstrable experience in Typescript, Next.js, GraphQL, Restful APIs.
• A commitment to testing - experience of writing and maintaining unit tests
• Experience with working in a sociable, cross-functional team.
• An eye for detail and the desire to make sure things are done right.
