Year 1 Teacher

Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a vibrant and welcoming school community. Duties

• Plan and deliver creative, interactive, and differentiated lessons that align with the KS1 curriculum.
• Create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports the diverse needs of all learners.
• Monitor and assess students' progress, adapting teaching strategies to ensure all children reach their potential.
• Encourage the development of essential skills such as literacy, numeracy, and social interaction through engaging activities and lessons.
• Collaborate with parents and colleagues to promote a consistent and supportive learning experience.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting respect, kindness, and a love of learning.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives, training sessions, and events to contribute to the school's ethos and development.

Skills

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Key Stage 1, particularly Year 1.
• An in-depth understanding of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with children, parents, and staff.
• A creative and energetic approach to teaching, with the ability to inspire a love for learning.
• Strong organisational skills to manage planning, assessment, and classroom resources effectively.
