Location: Southwark Borough, London
Salary: 85 - 95 per day
Employment Type: Full-time, Part-time, and Supply positions available
Start Date: Immediate and September start dates available

Role and Responsibilities:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support: Provide personalized support to students with ASD, helping them with their educational and social development.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
  • Assist: Facilitate classroom activities, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Engage: Encourage and assist students in developing essential life skills and social interactions.
  • Adapt: Modify educational materials and approaches to meet the diverse needs of each student.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children with ASD or in a special educational needs setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the development and well-being of students with ASD.
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special educational needs are desirable but not essential.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
