About The Role:

As a Supply Teacher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher. Working across a range of primary schools in Bournemouth, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining classroom engagement and upholding school standards.

Key responsibilities of Supply Teacher:

• Deliver engaging and structured lessons across various primary year groups, following the school s curriculum and policies.
• Adapt teaching styles to meet the diverse needs of different classrooms.
• Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging pupil participation and progress.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school expectations.
• Provide feedback to permanent staff regarding student engagement and any classroom observations.
• Uphold school safeguarding policies to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

The successful candidate will:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is a must.
• Experience teaching in primary education, with the ability to adapt to different key stages.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
• A flexible and proactive approach to working in varied school environments.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
