Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs. In this role, you will play a key part in helping children develop confidence, independence, and essential learning skills in a supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to students with SEND in 1:1 and group settings
• Assist with phonics and early learning development
• Work closely with teachers to adapt lessons to meet individual needs
• Use Makaton or other communication strategies to support non-verbal students
• Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages progress

Required Experience

• Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEND
• Confidence leading 1:1 or small group sessions
• A passion for supporting inclusive education

Desirable Qualifications

• Phonics knowledge to support early learners
• Makaton training for non-verbal communication support
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
