An opportunity to be part of something extraordinary!
Grafham Grange School is a special school for 70 students aged 10 to 16 with social, emotional and mental health as their primary identified need. It is situated in 42 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside in Bramley offering significant opportunities for outdoor learning.
This is an exciting time for Grafham Grange School as under the leadership of a new Principal the school is now embarking on a period of positive change supported by London South East Academies Trust.
Graham Grange School is set to become a thriving and creative learning environment prioritising student well-being, ensuring academic achievement, developing essential life skills, and giving every student the opportunity to succeed and excel.
The school is committed to providing exceptional education and support to pupils and is looking for an inspiring, dedicated, and passionate SENCo who thrives in a challenging yet rewarding environment to join them as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
As SENCo, you will be at the heart of the school's mission to provide outstanding support for pupils with SEMH needs, ensuring that they have the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will lead and develop a dedicated team, working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practices and experience in either a SENCo position or similar role. A relevant SEN qualification (NASENCo or equivalent) is highly desirable but not essential for the right candidate.
This role welcomes a proactive and empathetic leader to inspire and support staff, students, and parents with a commitment to ongoing professional development and making a positive impact on pupil outcomes.
A fantastic opportunity to work as part of a committed and collaborative team open to new ideas and different ways of working to propel Grafham Grange School forward elevating the whole community and establishing an educational setting where everyone feels valued and empowered.
Change is happening, if you are inspired by our exciting journey come and join us!
Please note we reserve the right to close this role upon receipt of suitable applications.
It is important to point out that Grafham Grange School is in the process of transitioning from OHC&AT to London South East Academies Trust
