SEN Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching are seeking to appoint a dedicated LSA into a lovely primary school near Winchester. We are also looking for two fantastic 1:1 LSA's to work in excellent primary schools slightly north of Winchester. As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Support students with special educational needs.
  • Prepare classroom materials and resources.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students

About you:

• • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant/LSA or in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their educational development.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare are desirable.

  Essential & Desirable Qualifications/ requirements:

• • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable
  • • Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare are desirable.

• To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

  • Hold right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide references upon request
  • Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
