Position Details:

Location: Banham, Norfolk
Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am 4:30pm
Salary: £14 - £18/hr (dependent on experience/qualifications)
Contract: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA):
  • Plan and lead interventions as outlined in EHCPs to support pupils with Autism in Banham, Norfolk.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, including Lego Therapy, Precision Teaching, and Emotional Literacy.
  • Track and monitor pupil progress, ensuring observations are recorded and next steps are identified.
  • Support class teams with the planning and assessment of universal provisions.
  • Provide regular updates for ITACs and Annual Reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical and teaching teams to align interventions with specialist support.
  • Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment in Banham, Norfolk, ensuring all pupils feel supported.
  • Play a vital role in the academic and emotional development of pupils as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Skills & Requirements:
  • Experience working in a school setting, particularly with SEND pupils in Banham, Norfolk.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and ICT skills.
  • GCSE English and Maths qualifications.
  • TA or HLTA qualification.
  • A passion for supporting pupils with Autism through creative and evidence-based interventions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a specialist school environment in Banham, Norfolk.
