SEMH Teacher

Job Title: SEMH Teacher (Full-Time/Part-Time/Contract)
Location: Kidderminister , starting ASAP February 2025

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teacher to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a supportive and inclusive school environment in Kidderminister. This flexible role offers full-time, part-time, or contract opportunities, starting in January 2025. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and promoting positive emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored lessons and support to students with SEMH needs
• Work 1:1 and in small groups to provide additional support
• Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours, providing positive reinforcement
• Support students in developing social and emotional skills to engage with learning
• Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment
• Monitor and track student progress, reporting to relevant staff and professionals
• Adhere to safeguarding and child protection guidelines
• Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to support student well-being and progress

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• QTS
• Experience supporting students with SEMH needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures
• Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude toward challenging situations
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
