We are seeking a proactive Administrator to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our provision, supporting both staff and students, and maintaining excellent communication with parents, external agencies, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the senior leadership team, teachers, and support staff.
  • Manage reception duties, including welcoming visitors and handling phone calls/emails.
  • Maintain accurate student records, attendance registers, and safeguarding documentation.
  • Assist with timetabling, reports, and data entry.
  • Liaise with parents, local authorities, and external agencies to support student needs.
  • Handle confidential information in line with GDPR and safeguarding policies.
  • Order resources and manage office supplies.
  • Support the coordination of meetings, training sessions, and events.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous administrative experience, ideally within an education or alternative provision setting.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality requirements.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a school, PRU (Pupil Referral Unit), or alternative education setting.
  • Knowledge of SIMS or other school-based software.
  • First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
