Position: Full-time, Temporary (Maternity Cover)
Key Stage: KS3-KS4

Job Description:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Math Tutor to cover maternity leave in an independent alternative provision in Bradford. This full-time role will involve working with KS3-KS4 students who present with social anxieties, are on the at-risk register, have low-level abilities, and may face behavioural challenges. The students you ll be working with are eager to achieve personal success, and the school s vision is to support them in becoming responsible, resilient, and productive members of society.

Working Hours:

• 8:30am 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
• Flexibility required for occasional later evening finishes with training sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Math to students working at Functional Skills Levels 1-3
• Plan and prepare lessons to keep vulnerable students engaged
• Demonstrate experience in managing students with various emotional and behavioural needs
• Offer support to help students progress and build confidence in their learning
• Maintain a high standard of teaching and adherence to school policies

Essential Qualifications & Requirements:

• QTS, PTTLS, DTTLS, or equivalent
• BSc in Math, Diploma in Mathematics, or equivalent
• Proven experience in teaching KS3-KS4 students, particularly those working at lower levels
• Experience in engaging vulnerable students and creating an inclusive learning environment
• A fully enhanced DBS on the subscription service, or willingness to obtain one
