Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a specialist high school in Preston for young people with SEMH needs.
Only qualified candidates will be considered for the position, and you must have experience with SEMH/SEN.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons to small groups or whole classes under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Support children in achieving their academic and personal development goals.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to implement tailored learning strategies.
- Lead intervention groups and provide additional support for pupils with specific learning needs.
- Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment for all pupils.
- Assist with classroom management, ensuring lessons run smoothly and effectively.
Requirements:
- HLTA qualification or extensive experience working as a teaching assistant at the primary level.
- Experience supporting children aged 10 - 18 in a school setting.
- A strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for helping children thrive in their education.
- An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two recent professional references
