A leader in sustainability and facilities management, is seeking a Head of Estates to join their dynamic team at a Hospital in Portsmouth. This is a rare opportunity to oversee a vital function within a large acute hospital, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellence in service delivery.

As the Head of Estates, you will play a crucial role in:

Providing senior leadership to the technical service delivery, managing an operational budget of approximately £11m and overseeing projects worth £8m+.
Leading the technical compliance and assurance functions, as well as managing a senior operations team of 17 managers and supervisors, with a total team size of 80+.
Ensuring all projects, including capital, lifecycle, and major works, are completed safely, on time, and within budget, adhering to statutory and corporate standards.
Liaising with senior stakeholders to deliver exceptional outcomes, maintaining a customer-focused approach while ensuring operational efficiency.
Driving continuous improvement, sustainability, and compliance with healthcare standards and specifications.

To be successful in the role of Head of Estates, you ll bring the following skills and experience:

Degree-level education or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
Demonstrable experience in construction-related project management or operational delivery, with a proven track record in critical services.
Strong understanding of healthcare technical standards (HBN s and HTM s) is beneficial
Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a collaborative and dynamic approach.
In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and facilities management.
