Then look no further .Development ManagerSalary - £45,522 to £58,910 per annum (plus benefits)Hours - 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am to 5.00pmLocation - Home-Based (within the Midlands)As a Development Manager, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of growth within your assigned geographical area, as well as leading or supporting other projects on a national basis.Our promise to you- 25 days' annual leave (full-time working) plus Bank Holidays- Pension scheme- Life Insurance- Discretionary bonus scheme- On-the-job training/progression- Recognition- Flexible benefits including high street savings, cycle-to-work scheme and Gymflex membership- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme and the Best Doctors ServiceWhat will you be doing?- Collaborating with the Operations and Bidding teams to secure and negotiate new municipal service contracts and/or extensions to existing contracts- Monitoring and strategically positioning FCC to secure forthcoming procurement opportunities- Seeking, investigating and delivering non-tendered opportunities to support growth- Reporting to the Head of Department (HoD) and attending monthly Development Team meetings- Preparing and maintaining the Recycling Division Strategy- Developing, implementing and robustly following a detailed client engagement plan- Seeking out and assessing speculative development opportunities within the area- Leveraging and developing existing site assets within the business to maximise their growth potential- Preparing and presenting project development documentation to the UK Board/Approvals Committee- Ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to budget- Gathering strategic market intelligence whenever possible, developing and leveraging a personal network of contacts- Engaging in project review processes- Through the development of client relationships, establishing key client drivers and tailoring proposals- Diligently utilising a CRM system for pipeline opportunity management and client/market intelligence recording and tracking- Promoting the UK business & FCC Group at Regional and National levelWhat are we looking for?- Experience of operating in a senior management role with a proven track record within a profit centre of at least £25m turnover- Experience in an organisation with a professional and disciplined approach to business or project development- Experience in developing and delivering business strategy and growth plans- Considerable experience in the successful delivery of business/project development programmes (preferably within the waste industry) which has resulted in significant growth- A proven understanding and experience within the waste industry- Knowledge of the waste market, including key competitors and market opportunities- Customer knowledge and market intel- Commercial awareness with strong profit orientation- Influencing skills- Excellent business acumen with well-developed commercial negotiation skills- A degree (or equivalent)About UsWe are FCC Environment, one of the nation's leading waste and resource management companies.
