This is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to assist in developing a new service within Mansfield. The successful candidate will be an inspirational role model for the young person, while demonstrating to the young people the value of education, care and development to achieve better outcomes

What you'll bring:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with Children and Young People in a Residential setting
  • Recent experience working either as a Children's Home Deputy Manager or as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker in a Children's Home
  • Minimum QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent (In line with Ofsted requirements)
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to completing QCF Level 5 Children, Young People and Families Manager qualification
  • Flexibility to cover shifts in line with the needs of the home
  • A full UK Driving Licence

It is essential that the Deputy Home Manager has experience of working with children in a residential setting, we welcome experienced Senior Support Workers or Team Leaders who are looking for the next steps in their career as well as existing managers who are looking for a new role in a reputable company

The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the Registered Home Manager and deputise for them during absence periods. This will include all aspects of the day to day running of the Children's Home ensuring and promoting the safeguarding of children and young people. The Deputy Home Manager will be expected to work with the children and young people on a daily basis to ensure they are provided with the best possible care, as well as maintain the management of the home and complete office-based work.

Homes2inspire Limited and Nottingham County Council have formed a unique partnership to offer homes and support for children and young people within Nottinghamshire who have experienced significant trauma and difficulties in their lives. We are creating a different sort of home and care for children and young people which offers them flexibility and support from a full range of people that can help them. This home is part of a wider service we are developing together including, more children's homes, high needs foster carers, CAMHS (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services) intensive treatment houses and therapeutic education. Homes2inspire is a leading provider of Children's Homes with over 52 homes across the UK. Our teams strive for excellence for our children.

The partnership is also able to offer wider support and clinical supervision with mental health and social work practitioners.
