About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor in Aldershot, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of students' education during teacher absences. You will supervise classes, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task with their learning activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive and inclusive educational setting.

Key Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor

• Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused and engaged with their learning activities.
• Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher, delivering instructions and managing classroom behaviour effectively.
• Provide support to students, answering questions and assisting with their learning as needed.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and effective learning experience for students.
• Keep accurate records of student attendance and behaviour, reporting any issues to the appropriate staff members.

Requirements of Cover Supervisor

• Experience working with secondary school students is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and colleagues.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom settings and with various age groups.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
