Are you an experienced Commercial Manager looking for an exciting challenge in the energy sector? A leading tier 1 civil engineering contractor is seeking a Commercial Manager to oversee a new substation build in Crossaig, Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a pivotal infrastructure development in the renewable energy industry.

• Lead all commercial and contractual aspects of the substation project.
• Oversee project costs, budgets, and financial forecasting to ensure profitability.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Manage risk, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
• Prepare and present detailed project reports, including cost analysis, to senior management.
• Ensure the project stays on track financially, managing variations and mitigating potential disputes.

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager in large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.
• Strong background in contract management, including NEC3/NEC4 forms of contract.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of substation or renewable energy projects is highly desirable.
