VGC Group are looking for experienced Chainperson to start on a project in Water Orton. This contract is available to start ASAP and we can offer up to 3 months worth of work to a successful candidate.

Salary: £12.78 per hour PAYE

Hours: Monday - Friday - 7.30 - 5.30 with an hour break

Contract: Contract of Employment

Experience: 2 years +

Qualifications: CSCS Green general operative card

Chainperson with suitable experience

Responsibilities:

• Measurement and Recording: Measure and record distances, angles, and elevations using survey-grade instruments such as chains, tapes, theodolites, and total stations
• Setting Out: Assist in setting out control points, benchmarks, and survey lines
• Data Collection: Collect and record data related to land boundaries, terrain features, and other relevant information
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair surveying equipment
• Support Surveyors: Assist surveyors with field calculations, note-taking, and other tasks
• Surveying Knowledge: Understanding of surveying principles and the ability to use surveying instruments
• Physical Fitness: Good physical condition to handle manual labor and work in various weather conditions
• Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately record and interpret survey data
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Adaptable: Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions
• Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements
• Reliable: Dependable and able to follow instructions precisely

Based in Water Orton remuneration for this role is £12.78 per hour, you will accrue holiday entitlement and be eligible to join the VGC pension scheme once certain criteria have been met.
