We are working with a fast-growing organisation in Gloucester. Our client is looking to recruit a permanent Assistant Accountant. The successful candidate will work closely with the Financial Controller and Management Accountant on a day-to-day basis and will have the opportunity to build rapport with the wider company team too. This is full-time 35hrs. per week position with a minimum of 2 days in their Gloucester office.
Responsibilities for the position include:

• Assisting with the production of management accounts
• KPI reporting
• Assisting with the production of annual financial statements
• VAT compliance and reporting
• Assisting with the production of monthly P/L
• Managing bank transactions and reports
• Ad-hoc duties as required

The essential skills and qualifications needed for this position are:

• Working towards a professional qualification such as ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable IT skills, particularly around Excel including the use of pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
